Experienced Persons Licence Transition Programme
Outcome of grant funding assessment
The Australian Government has announced $1.2 million in funding to help refrigeration and air conditioning technicians meet national licence requirements.
These requirements are aimed at reducing ozone depletion and tackling climate change.
Six projects will be funded under the Experienced Persons Licence Transition Programme to make it easier for technicians to have their skills tested for licensing in line with the Australian Government's national refrigeration and air conditioning system.
These projects will be implemented by five registered training organisations drawn from both the automotive and the refrigeration and air conditioning sectors.
The successful applicants cover a broad cross section of the country (including many of the more remote areas).
